I am writing to you about a matter that is of great significance in the United States but is not greatly appreciated.  The matter is the lack of dental care in the United States.  Without appropriate care and without access to dentists people are suffering, mentally, emotionally, socially, physically and spiritually. 

There are people in the hiring lines and even people that are employed that are suffering due to lack of adequate care or no care.  You may tell yourself that you are so evolved that you would hire someone with an obvious need for dental care.  You may tell yourself that you would have sympathy for someone that you work with or that you employ that suffers from inadequate care or care that was inappropriate and that caused harm to the person.  However, I dare you to even admit to me that you have done so.   

In addition to the fact that there is inadequate care or no care dentists are one of the most unregulated group amongst the "medical," profession.  To try a dental malpractice lawsuit costs on the average of $80,000.  The average recovery is $30,000.  In their case, for the vast majority, there is no honor amongst theives.  There is a movement towards having dentistry become a specialty in the medical schools, i.e. periodontal medicine.  And this is as it should be since an unhealthy mouth can cause so many other health issues.  Additionally, they should be held to the same standards as are medical doctors.

I personally know what it was like to have my mouth, my facial nerves, my ability to eat and speak, my life and my finances destroyed by a handful of dentists.  I put myself through a BA in Economics, an MBA and a JD and have a law license.  I ended up in excrutriating pain, can barely eat, have difficulty talking and my problems are yet resolved. And people start to shun you as though you have become mentally ill until perhaps you find one of the  honest dentists about whom I speak.  An honest dentist will set you free from being blamed about being a malcontent even though they may not be able to help you. Oh and yes these were reputable dentists that caused the damage and then so carefully covered up their malpractice.  So you see, you are all educated, but don't ever think that it won't happen to you or one of your family members.  Next time you see an unemployed person standing with so many of the unemployed looking for a job and they have obvious dental issues, I dare you to hire them and set them free..........I dare you.

I'M A WOMEN RECENTLY LOST MY JOB,I LIVE IN PA. I'M STILL WAITING TO GET A RESPONSE FROM UNEMPLOYMENT,GOT MY ELIGEBILITY BENIFIT PAPERS FROM UC IN THE FIRST WEEK OF AUG.2011, I'M GUESSING MY FORMER EMPLOYER WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THE DECISION FROM UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION BOARD, PROBLEM IS I NEVER GOT THE HEARING DATE IN THE MAIL THAT WAS HELD THE 28TH OF SEPT.THERFORE I WAS AUTOMATICLY DENIED BENIFETS. THEN ON THE 29TH THE DAY I GOT THE MAIL SAYING I'M DENIED BECAUSE I DIDN'T SHOW. I CALLED UNEMPLOYMENT THEY WERE NO HELP AT ALL AS TO WHAT COULD/WOULD BE THE REASON I DIDN'T RECIEVE A HEARING DATE.FAXED A REQUEST FOR ANOTHER HEARING THIS WAS OCT.5TH THAT I DISAGREE WITH THEIR DECISION WOULD LIKE TO APPEAL THEIR DECISION,STILL WAITING FOR A RESPONSE FROM UC ABOUT A NEW HEARING DATE ANY NEWS AT ALL .NEVER RECIEVED 1 PAYMENT. STILL TODAY I'M ABOUT TO LOSE MY HOME,,UTILITIES,PROPERTY TAXES,CONDO FEE,ARE ALL IN DEFAULT,I'M LOOKING FOR A JOB DUE TO ARTHRITIS CAN NOT DO ANY HARD LABOR JOBS THAT I USED TO DO MANANGED TO GET 1 DAY OF WORK A WEEK 50$ ISN'T CRAP,,BUT MY FOOT IS IN THE DOOR CURRENTLY AS A DRIVER.

IF ANYONE HAS ANY ADVICE ON WHAT I CAN/SHOULD DO ABOUT THIS SITUATION I WOULD THANK YOU SO MUCH. I NEED TO KEEP A POSITIVE ATTITUDE AND NOT FALL INTO A DEPRESSION I AM A STRONG PERSON BUT I NEED/DESERVE WHAT I WORKED FOR,DEFINETLY DESERVE THE BENIFETS I'VE WORKED HARD FOR.    ANY ADVICE?? PS. Hi, this is Pinky 90. Its July 20, 2011.

I'm still struggling paying bills. Right now I have the water bill behind, but I plan on paying it tomorrow. I have student loans and Direct Loans consolidated them. I got on the income based plan, so that I pay 0 a month. Once a year I have to apply for this plan.

I have one student loan from Citi Bank that they couldn't consolidate and I don't have the money to pay it. I haven't heard from Citi Bank in awhile. I'm sure that they'll garnish my wages, because of this loan that I can't pay.

I have been taking out payday loans to help pay some of the bills, and to buy food. I have a cat and she has her needs, too.

Everything is so expensive these days. Everything seems to be going up. Its hard to keep up with all the bills. You have to buy groceries, too. I got food stamps, but only 16 dollars a month. That doesn't seem like very much. Two weeks ago I had reduced hours and I applied for partial unemployment. That hasn't come through yet. It takes a long time to get unemployment benefits. I'm sure that I wouldn't get very much. I worked 18 hours one week so I probably wouldn't get much in unemployment.

At least I'm still working. I work for a temporary service. I need to find an additional job to make ends meet better. I'm saw on the Workforce website that another temporary service is hiring for assembly jobs. That might be good to look into. I'll nave to check that out soon. I have two days off from work and I'm real glad. Working tires me out.

It's 4:14pm, and I will be on for the next few hours, anyway..... One of the reasons people probably dont think much of me, is Im not too bright.. Those that are just meeting me or who have looked to see that I havent been on here long, are probably realizing this, if they haven't already. If you haven't you won't have too think much about it-I'll put it right out there for you. The night before last, when they shut my cable off-when I was woken up to the screaming static, andn then up from 12:30am all night, having the panic attacks.....? I will be honesy, now that afew days have gone by.... I came in here, and I cured everything that erer came into my eye-sight....FOR 2 HOURS. You can do alot of writing, and alot of cursing in 2 hours.....And yes, alot of crying...well, then I decided you have probably had enough, and I go to leave, and I see the little button on the right hand top of the page that says,'sign in'.I thought I just STAYED signed in..... Now, I am signing in, and people have been writing to ME-JUST me-Oh my God.....like letters, to me, that only I can see, that not only didn't I read yet, I didn't know they were there, and HAVE YET TO ANSWER!!!!!  That is so not cool... and I am sooo, sooo soooo sorry. 2 of the letters? WE FROM THE DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY!!!! I will get to these tonight, as there is no need for that!!

I talked to one of my in-laws, via IM today. This is the only in-law that still talks to us, and IM is the only way she will talk to ME. My mother and father in law being gone, it's now just the siblings, and their spouces and adult children left. My husband was the youngest one of 6 kids, and put new meanings to the terms 'momma's boy' and 'baby of the family.' None of these people have liked me from the begining, and we got together way back in high school. I gave him beautiful children, and have stuck with him through thick and thin, but I was never thin enough, pretty enough, a good enough cook or housekeeper, and I would never be satisfied staying home 24/7, waiting for bread to rise and feather-dusting the kids rooms at 10pm. That is awesome, if you are satisfied doing that, but even as big a mess as I am right now, I am still taking classes, and hoping to mend-in body,mind,heart and spirit. 

Anyway, she has never said why we have this IM rule...but today she said something about her and I going back a long way, and having gone through alot, and having some kind of bond. (Kinda like chewing gum and hair.) Hmmmmm,....the issue appears to be I am too honest. She didn't say that, I did, and then she didn't say anything at all about it.And thats why we have the IM rule....so when I say something honest, that may make people who are more comfortable not dealing with honesty, they dont have to say anything, or even act like they hear it, or read it.

I guess the moral to that little paragragh of dribble is-chewing gum and hair does bond---hehe...no. Sorry. You can only be really honest in your own head, cause those that dont want to deal with it, or you-don't. And this has been most of the peole that have beeen in my life... they like china dolls.....they like you to sit on a shelf, smiling nice, and looking pretty.

Looking below, I guess I am sappossed to have a title for each time I write, and then more keywords. Or which keywords each writing is sappossed to have something to do with??

 Looking around, I noticed, first off 'DEPRESSED'    IS REALLY ENLARGED AND HIGHLIGHTED IN MY related keywords. Was someone noticing that about me. or accusing me of that? Or is someone else here, too.

I am, and I cannot figure out just when I became this way. I think it was somewhere between being a normal mother/wife/woman/ to becoming injured at work, and disabled, so the kids all started walking all over me, my husband says he loves me, and doesnt want me to leave, but in the next breath I'm a useless, fat fu<>ing c)(t, that cant do anything for herself! He wants me here cause he cant do it without my disability check helping to run this house!!

I sware I have become smarter since meeting you guys! Or maybe not smarter....but more clear.One day I will sign one, and I will start my letter-I am scared to death, but I have left, and I will be alone somewhere, but REALLY ALONE. And I will be scared, probably not quite to death, but I will have thought it through, for a LONG time, I will be somewhere I can afford to be, and each one of you-the early ones who are on here, will have somehow given me a little bit of strength......strength that I have needed for the last 12 years. This probably wont be till the fall, after the tourist season, but....there's a light....

Next I noticed alot of people wrote money, or unemployeed.I have to wonder something. There's ebay...and people make a fortune selling on there. Why the hell dont one of us start 'poorbay'.Yes, we would have to get and put up with things like po boxes, cause there wouldnt  and not sending things out till checks came then cleared, etc...have just a whole 'site' like that. No one is in a position loose alot, spend alot, ect, I dont know,,,,,it's a 'raw plan'. No one will get rich, but....just to do something so everyone can feel like they are doing something to help themselves and their families out.....when they have already spent YEARS doing all they can-some of them.....or post what you might have for sale....say like for the next month we're tell as many people on here as we all can, then, every one weekend afternoon and evening a week, or every other week, post a pic of what you have, or what project you can do, etc....

That's all I have-----for the financial end of things-but I'm crazy anyway-whose gonna listen to me???

To all who will listen:

I am scared for the first time in my life. I am 54 years old and ALWAYS had some form of income and good job and felt secure. I now find myself, one who has lost her home, collecting unemployment and only eating once a day. I do not qualify for cash aid or food stamps, I eat food from food shelters. I am sick but dont have insurance. I have a bad tooth but dont have means to get it fixed. I cry all the time, I called Dept of Social services ot get my liense to do child care, but there is a six month waiting list, but sure enough if I do it witout having a licence I will be in trouble. I dont like not working, I do not like feeling hungry and sad. My daughter works part time and go to school fulltime, and barely maknig it. She is so sad, yet she worries more for me. I need to be on my thyroid medicine but have no money for it. I tired getting a grant to start a co op child care center, but have not had any success on HOW to find one. I am not uneducated, I am not lazy, but surely someone need to listen and help me. LISTEN TO US, HELP US, SET UP PLACES TO GO FOR HELP, CREATE NEW JOBS AND TEACH US SO WE AN OFFER SOME HOPE FOR US. I am ready for a change, and not happy at all with any of you. Are you all eating well? Do you have gas money to get around? Do you have high hopes for this economy? Do you have medical insurance and dental insurance? Do you have even a bottle of aspirin in your home? Is your electricity turned on? Do you have a phone for someone to call you for an interview? Do you have heat and air? I have sold anything of worth, but now what do I do this month?

These simple thigs have been stripped from hard working people and yet the creditors are extremely relentless. Yet they get mad if we dont keep them posted.

I live in Riverside County and let me say this, IF i had the money I would move out of state real quick, but I an stuck, stuck stuck.

Mr Obama,

I am a registered Democrat and I voted for you to be the President of MY COUNTRY believing all your promises. As a disabled veteran of the United States Air Force, I feel you have been a disgrace to My Country. You were elected President of this Country, not as the best man for the job, but rather as a REBOUND. Everyone knew that John McCain wasn't fit physically to run our country and his choice for Vice President, Sarah Palin was in fact a more experienced candidate for your job as President of this country.

I can guarantee that you will not be re-elected for the next term as president. Even our Texas Govenor, Rick Perry would have done a better job with foreign policies and your other tasks as president. I do not believe anything you say. You have not fulfilled your PROMISES to all the people of the United States and I am pissed at myself for voting you in as our president.

You are not concerned about all the people who are homeless or about to be homeless. You are not concerned about poverty here in the United States. The only thing that you have shown me and a lot of other people who have been stupid enough to vote you in as president, is the glory of being the first African American president of our country...nothing else. You have mis-used your power as president.

The only reason that we the people of our country are homeless and are on welfare and unemployment is the fact that all employment for comsumer products are given to China, Mexico, and other countries who I could not give a HOOT about. You as president, need to concentrate on your people (ALL PEOPLE) of this country by lessening the employment given to other countries especially CHINA.

I think....no, I know that your power as president of this country has went all to your head. Everytime I see you on TV, I notice that your head has swelled considerably from your previous appearances. Now you take up TV time to announce that you are a Christian and How You Became A CHRISTIAN. You do not believe in God or Jesus Christ anymore than an ATHIAST. You are just trying to make yourself look better for more Christians to vote for you in the upcoming election. You may have some of the people fooled that didn't vote for you, but not all the people.

I LOVE MY COUNTRY and I served in the United States Air Force. What branch did you serve in to show your patriotism?? Have you furnished a copy of your BIRTH CERTIFICATE yet? Have you proven yet that you in fact are an American Citizen? As far as I am concerned in my view as an Americam Citizen, I see you nothing more than a COMMUNIST!

I sincerely hope that Hillary Clinton runs for the President of the United States and has Sarah Palin as her Vice President. I honestly believe that between the two women that they could do a heck of a lot better job than what you have done especially as far as HUD is concerned. And you want all these illegal aliens to get amnesty when our American people do not have jobs????????????? We are still in recession mainly because of the cutbacks. You want the MINIMUM wage raised, but yet you do not give raises to the disabled people here in the United States who are suffering to get the necessities of life all because you say that the cost of living hasn't went up since 2008! I disagree whole-heartedly. Groceries, rent, taxes, etc have been on the rise which makes it difficult for disabled people like myself and all disabled AMERICAN people.

Get a grip on it!!

Once again, if you lost ur job, and can u must apply to unemployment!!! this is important!!! if yr unemployment is finished, u need to apply to "public assitience" in yr area, they will help u with housing, give u foodstamps, health insurance and in most cases u probably quilify for other programs and cash grants, do this and dont delay, u can call 311 in most areas to find out where ur local social services dept is located or call 411 or operator they should have a numbers for u to call..also go to yr local churches, salvation army, they can help with warm clothing, food and in most cases direct u to the right places!!!
now that the holidays are here, there are those that are looking to adopt needy families that need help u can find out thru yr local churches and salvation army
u can also post on craigslist and backpage and anywhere else u can think of
stating that yr a needy family or single mom and need help!!! there are good people out there that will help u!!! the holidays are coming, and its starting to get cold!!! so please, do everything u can to help and empower ur-selves!!!
if u can try and find housing even if its one room, if u can offer to pay something thats fine if not offer to help out in exchange for housing!!!
Dont delay putting off another day, with out getting the help u need!!!!

Wow! Where do I start? Here is my story, I am a mother of 4 beautiful children. My oldest son is 10, my only daughter is 9, my next son is 5, and my "baby" boy is 4. Yes I am a very busy mom. I have always had a job since I was 18 and found out I was pregnent with my oldest. I just recently quit my job of 7yrs as an asst manager at a local retail store. I also enrolled in college but I need to pay $50 in 2wks so I can take my placement test and I dont know if that will happen. I was denied unemployment due to the fact I quit and am currently awaiting for my appeals hearing. I only receive $240 in support because I dont have the $ to file for more child support. I do receive food stamps and housing assistance. However my gas was just turned off over $400, so now we have no stove/oven, hot water, or heat. My electric was due to be shut off today over $200 but CEO helped out and paid that for us. My kids dont have winter coats or winter school clothes yet and we dont have a car and walk to the busstop. Which luckly is close but it's been in the high 30's the last couple mornings. All my life I have done everything and anything for my babies but now I'm in trouble. I didnt even get them halloween costumes yet. My 10yr old actually told me to make sure I get them for the younger kids first. =) and the only christmas gift he wants he told me nevermind. We had a yardsale to raise money, but didnt make enough, and I've already pawned all my jewelery. So now Im just stuck. I applied for a job but they aren't hiring till next month.

I feel like I can relate to everyone on here. I'm not saying it in a bad way, it seems just about everyone in this country seems to be having troubles. Mainly unemployment and health insurance. What is wrong with this picture? Where did all of America's jobs go, and how are we supposed to survive when no one seems to have an answer. How can one go to school, with bad credit horrible debt and try to improve their lives when all we get is SORRY, YOU AREN'T QUALIFIED. Qualified? Are you insane? We want to be qualified, but AMERICA won't allow us..This seems really messed up to me. What are your thoughts? We are all in this together!

Senate unemployment extension vote scheduled for 2:30 p.m. EST today. It is expected to pass and if passed, benefits will be retroactive. Republicans may require 30 hrs of debate but I do not see that happening. You can watch live @ c-span.

I have had a rough year...

I lost my job and didnt qualify for unemployment. I moved to a new town for school and job opportunities. My spouse and I broke up leaving me with a mortgage to continue paying in one state and rent in another, we havent been able to see the property. I tooka low paying food services job to pay some of my bills, but was unable to pay them. Currently have 3 jobs, and withdrew from school. Still cant pay all my bills. Spent over a week in the hospital in March due to a health condition... now have an enourmous amount of medical debt. Credit cards have maxed out... cant afford to pay them off and pay my bills. I have had family support, but they cant continue to give me money. 

And now I have decided to move home, to save money... but it will cost $3800 just to get out of the lease. Plus there are moving costs (I am moving cross country)...
